We’re finally thawing out here in Penfield!! Looking for something to get you out of the house this weekend? Check out a couple of town happenings!
If you want some fresh air (and don’t mind getting a little damp!), the Genesee Valley Hiking club is sponsoring a guided hike at Lucien Morin Park. This 5 mile trek is on the Rifle Range Trail, and is geared toward people who are up for a challenge! It is described as strenuous and hilly!
If you’d like to hike, but a hardcore adventure isn’t for you, check out the GVHC’s website– they have multiple hikes throughout the greater Rochester area on Saturday!
Be sure to dress for success! Layers and waterproof will be the name of the game this weekend; while we’re expected warmer temperatures, we also anticipate some rain!! And supportive shoes or boots are a must!

And if you’d rather stay in, stop by the Penfield Public Library. They will be hosting a free seminal on personal digital archiving! This seminar will walk you through preserving your precious digital memories. Learn how to protect those pictures, home movies, and other keepsakes! There will be various stations set up to demonstrate everything. No registration required! This Saturday (1/11) from 1 pm- 4 pm. For more information visit the PPL website.
