It’s summer in Rochester and the Polar Vortex is nowhere in sight! Take advantage of some fun in the sun! We are fortunate to have some great choices for waterfront dining in Rochester NY on the lake and river.
Located on the lovely Genesee, you can come by land or by sea and they have live entertainment. Plenty of room to give everyone a water view and enough umbrellas to go around on a sunny day! Trivia Night and VIP promotions mean fun in the sun!

Silk O’Loughlin’s(we call it Olies(o lees)), is a neighborhood/irish/sports/beach bar overlooking the Genesee River and Lake Ontario. We offer a full bar, homemade pub food(Friday Fish Fry), and friendly service. Owned and operated by the McKeon family since 2002.
You can come here by land or by sea as well. Ample parking and a great place to be for St. Patrick’s Day. Get there early!
Rounding out the River 3 is Schooners. It’s a seasonal bar located on the Marina property. Open air gazebo, and a large deck with live music. Come rain or come shine because they have canvas walls and gas heaters. Casual dining means you can come as you are, right off your boat!

For over 80 years patrons have lifted their spirits and drowned their sorrows at 4909 Culver Road. During the Prohibition Era the property belonged to a man named George Magin, who ran a speakeasy from this lakeside locale. Here, Magin served his clientele of scofflaws liquor he bootlegged from Canada and beer he brewed in his basement. Located on North Water Street, it’s close to many of the downtown venues. Bring your ticket from the show and receive a 10% discount. If the lake is more your style, there’s Castaways in Webster for great waterfront dining in Rochester. Their menu offers: delicious creations that are sure to tempt all palettes. Treat yourself to local favorites such as cajun rubbed blackened prime rib or our fresh seafood sampler platters. Live acoustic music and plenty of room for everyone!
Also located in Webster, Hedges offers exceptional service and excellent cuisine. A beautiful legacy of 5 generations, come for a cocktail on the patio or full service inside. Reservations are encouraged since this is a beloved summer spot of many!
