Researching the Market

We continue to research the Rochester real estate market daily. As we look towards the second half of the year, we’re seeing some of the same trends continuing just at a slower pace. For example, we still may experience low inventory for what’s considered a normal market but it won’t be as low as it has been accordingly to a recent article from Forbes real estate:

“First-time buyers can expect less competition than last year, but it’s still very much a seller’s market in most places,” says Ralph McLaughlin, deputy chief economist for property data firm CoreLogic.

He then continues regarding the rest of the year, ” it seems to be shaping up as a good time for potential first-time buyers to enter the market, with no current signs of imbalance that would either force them to hurry or cause them to pull back.” In other words, it’s a good time to go about that home search in a thoughtful and deliberate manner.
