On the map, Rochester is in Zone 6 according to Urban Farmer. This means that in late May and the beginning of June some of the best seeds to plant are:

The majority of seeds will require abundant sunlight to help them grow. You also may want to be sure to place the bed in a place that your hose will easily reach to make watering quick and easy.
