The Saints are “March” ing into Rochester, NY
Oh when the saints come “March”ing in. Oh when the Saints come “March” ing in…we’ll know Spring is coming right? Not so much. Since, we can’t rely on Rochester, NY weather, at least we can rely on the calendar to tell us when Spring will be here, which happens to be Friday, March 20th. Unfortunately, it will feel more like winter.
Fear not, you can bring the Spring anyway! St. Patrick’s Day is an awesome way to celebrate all things green and full of life! Everyone is Irish for a day and there’s plenty to do around Rochester, NY, indoors and out.
Wearin of the Green– St. Patrick’s Day Parade
This event has its own website! Tops is a proud sponsor! Check out the details to find out where to park, what streets will be closed and who’s who in the line up. Don’t think you want to brave the weather (not the best forecast), watch it on Time Warner Cable!
If you do venture out to enjoy the parade, don’t forget the Celtic Faire at the Radisson Hotel. It’s held inside and will include cookie decorating, face painting, Celtic jewelry and more. All proceeds benefit Camp Good Days and Special Times.

Johnny’s Pub Annual Runnin of the Green— 9:30 am start This is the real deal, outside, come rain, come shine. 17th Annual Race! Even if you don’t want to run you can watch and donate to the Irish Children’s Program.
The Lucky Leprechaun Virtual Run– Remember this for next year, as registration is now closed but you can choose your distance and your track:
Nothing says lucky more than a leprechaun with a pot of gold and beer. Join us for this fun St. Patrick’s Day virtual run. This is a virtual race, so run/walk/crawl where ever you are whenever you can. You can even complete this race on the treadmill. Every runner will receive a 4″ Lucky Leprechaun bottle opener medal.
